Walking with God
Well, last night I was really challenged in service. One thing I was challenged to do is to write one thing what God has taught me for the day. Today God has taught me how important accountability is in my life and how important it is for people around me. Today I received some pretty shocking news from a friend that I cannot talk about. Please pray for this situation. Pray that I know how to handle it in a way that is loving and not judgmental. With this news, I am still thinking and there are questions and thoughts that I know I need to take to God. With all of this everything goes back to accountability and holding people to what God has called them to. God has set us apart to be different in this world, and we have people in our lives that we trust and should talk about our struggles with so we can be those people.

Valentine's Day
Valentine’s Day is the day to celebrate love. Considering, the fact that I’ve never been in LOVE, I just never really put much thought into this day. When I was younger, you did the valentine card exchange at school, then when I was a little older my parents always made that day special for me, and now that I am on my own it is just another day. I am so excited for the day when I actually have a special someone to spend that day with, but for now I am content with being single and celebrating it with friends.
Yesterday, was a relaxing day, I did laundry, some homework, and even made it to an Upward basketball game at church. When I checked the mail yesterday, I received a card from my good friend Jessica, who lives in Orlando; it was sweet gesture of her and really made my day. Last night Emily Kathryn and I went to the movies, as a girl’s night. We were originally going to see “Dear John;” however, we decided that we wanted to laugh, so we went to “Valentine’s Day.” It was a good movie with an excellent cast. We ended up at Steak and Shake for dinner. We laughed, talked and just had a great night.
Emily and I planned a small party for our 3-year old Sunday school class today. They are the cutest, funniest kids I’ve ever met. They make me laugh all the time, and I just love working with them each week. Today, are bible story was on the Good Samaritan and how the Samaritan helped the hurt man on the side of the road. One little boy said, “Yeah, he put Scooby band-aids on his boo boos to make him feel better.” Emily and I always chuckle. We had muffins, apples, and blueberries. I wanted strawberries, but everyone was sold out yesterday. After Sunday school I went to service, and heard a very encouraging, but convicting message.

Should I or Shouldn't I
So, a few weeks ago I decided that I was going to try this whole blogging thing. I’ve always enjoyed writing, not that I am the best at it, but I do enjoy it. I began to think though, what will I write about? I don’t have kids, I don’t have a business, and I don’t have a cause that I write for. These are all great blogs and I thoroughly enjoy reading all of them, so when I say that I’m just stating that I can’t write about that because that is not me. So, I just decided that maybe I shouldn’t do it at all. Yet I am still thinking about it. So, I have decided that I might not be able to point out what I am writing about; however, my life is a journey and so I will write about the journey I’m on in life.
This life of mine is not really my life, it is Christ’s. I gave my life to him when I was in 6th grade. Christ has been my foundation for many trying times in my life. I always say that the path that God has chosen for me is not the path that I would have chosen; yet, God knew that it is not about me, and about him. In my life, he has placed some amazing Godly people, which have inspired me to love and serve him.
Loving Him,
Mandy
